Learn in public - Python Ep 1
I recently was talking about upskilling quickly in a new programming language in one of my tech spaces by learning in public. So time to drink my own KoolAid lol by finally getting serious in learning #python .
For reference I have been mainly coding with #javascript t for the last 20 years and I work primarily with #angular.
I'm building a url based scraper that will help users validate their items from any e-commerce site. The stack is #angular for the client side, #nodejs with an #express server for the API and connecting to a #python backend and all residing in a #monorepo thanks to #nxdevtools
More bells and whistles to be added soon

This is why ChatGPT is my new artificial best friend
As a content creator most of my time when starting something new is spent in research. It usually start with several keywords within Google and non so linear path from one article to the other. This where the ChatGPT, the new tool in AI craze comes and blows all of my expectations. Not only I can ask an opening question, but then I can build up on it with follow up ones that will expand on the ...
Debug Angular Inside VS Code
Coding and debugging go hand-in-hand. Doing it within the same environment can greatly improve your workflow and keep you from feeling like you're constantly switching back-and-forth between different tools. In this video I show you how to do just that by debugging an Angular project directly inside of Visual Studio Code.

❤
God bless you for this video, it was really helpful for my use case
so glad to hear :) Cheers
If am using this in the nextjs will it work
hey thank you for taking the time to watch. Regarding Next.js I really am not sure since I have not tried it with this setup
Finally found.... what i wish to do
Hello!! I like this series, so keep posting, please!! Also, I like your vscode theme and icons theme. Mind sharing them?
Let's goooo boss :) !!
happy to hear from the best :)
So refreshing to see your videos again. I can't get enough of your teaching style. Please keep it up. BTW, you look good man 😎
Thank you 🙏🏿 thank you we will keep at it and always great to have your feedback
What a fantastic initiative to share your learning journey with us, learners! Your progress is impressive, and it's difficult for me to believe you're a beginner in Python. The scraping segment was thoroughly enjoyable. If you could include your GitHub repo in the description, it would be fantastic. Great video!
thank you for the kind comments :) Part of the code is for an actual project but yes I will probably isolate some of the parts in a public repo to share. Regarding the scraping part it is mostly intuitive since Python provide so much power out of the gate with a plethora of battle tested libraries to use
2nd video recommendation on my youtube. Keep it up !
Thanks, will do!
Thank you for focusing on the basics and keeping the demo realistic.
Nice video, I would rate it 10/10
nice
This was so helpful. I was working with Vite and had it hosted, but not sure why it was showing a blank page in production. It was making sure that the HTML/CSS/JS assets cross-origin related file path in the index.html was correct. Thank you!
New subscriber here. Thanks for your help
When I created a npm link to my project, it imports brings to node-modules everything in the linked package, including source folder and configuration files. How can I link only the dist folder?
GREAT content! It was exactly what I needed but had trouble finding. Thank you!
Wow, you covered EXACTLY what I wanted. Well done. Thanks!
glad it was helpful - thank you for the comment
Can you show attach configuration .i am able to launch chrome with debugger but not able to attach existing opened url
it was not helpful. why don't you show what happens when there is no setTimeout in the function that returns promise?
I totally agree with what you said. We should indeed focus on the code, rather than on tooling which might break the app. Building without relying on tooling is somehow a luxury for JS developers today.
Too lame, showing unecessary parts, taking too much time for unnecessary actions. !!
I can do it Thank you so much
Very nice explanation!
Very good video, one thought is instead of link library, if we use monorepo or turbo its combine all apps and its dependency using namespaces
Vitejs react serversideandclient code deploy Ela chyali
Thank you <3
you are very welcome :)
Really good tutorial!!
Thank you for the kind words
Good video! Thanks!
you are welcome
I've never seen anyone include typescript in normal dependencies and not --save-dev...just fyi ...should probably be the other.
Hello Kalani. I think a more accurate statement could be we might not need to include Typescript in the normal dependencies since the library final output is vanilla JS and I completely agree. I just tend to shy away from word like "never" because they can be very limiting. In the case of the Angular framework for example, Typescript is a core dependency as in many others. This is intended to show the different steps needed to publish a library to NPM. Feel free to add more to it and I'll happily link to that content. Thank you for the feedback :)
really nice tutorial man, also you are so relaxed, i really enjoyed watching this video, good stuff man, big like :)
Awesome - glad to see you like it
This is the only video on UA-cam that teaches the debugging ❤🎉🎉
glad you found it useful and thank you for the feedback :)
3:12:19 wouldn´t it better to use @output decortator?
failed to load module script: Expected a JavaScript module script but the server responded with a MIME type of "text/jsx". Strict MIME type checking is enforced for module scripts per HTML spec.
This video helped me!
Glad it did. Thank you for the feedback
thanks, this video helps a lot..
glad it helped and thank you for taking the time to comment.
Thanks bro. I had an error and I couldn't find it until I see your video :D
glad it helped
Thank you bro 👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏
Such a quick and short way to explain a complex functionality. :) Can you explain a little more on the 'effect' . Should it be defined in a function which updates a signal variable ?
Hello ady nice video . Can you be my mentor please ?
